가까운 거리에 새로운 스시 (Sushi)식당이 개업을 하였습니다.
식당이름은 Top Sushi. 식사를 하면서 한국분이 주인이다라는것을 알았네요.
일본의 스시 음식은 8세기경 길거리 음식이었다고 하네요. 미국에 처음 들어온시기와 장소는 1960년대, 로스엔젤레스라고 합니다.

코로나 이전에도 대부분의 식당들이 예약제도를 두었지만 코로나 이후 지금은 더더 욱 예약 문화가 자리를 잡은듯 합니다. 식당예약 여러가지 표현이 있지만 제가 사용하는 표현은.
Make a reservation 입니다. 전화로 할 경우, I am calling to make a reservation for 6 people at 7 PM today. 또는 Book이라는 단어를 사용하기도 하는데요. 이 경우에는,
Book a table이라고 합니다. I am calling to book a table for 6 people tonight at 7 PM.
